Kawasaki Disease

What is Kawasaki Disease?

Kawasaki disease is a rare illness that predominantly affects children under the age of 5. It causes inflammation of the blood vessels including the coronary arteries, which supply blood to the heart. Most children who are treated early recover without long-term issues. CSL Behring offers immunoglobulin therapies to lower the inflammation and prevent damage to the heart.
