More than 600 employees, contractors and their family members recently received influenza vaccines at global biotech CSL Behring in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

Three clinics were offered in September and, according to experts, now is a good time to get vaccinated against influenza. The flu is circulating at high levels in the Southern Hemisphere, which could be an indication of what’s to come in the Northern Hemisphere.

Also in September, CSL Plasma announced a free flu shot program for plasma donors. Donors who donate at least twice during the calendar month are eligible for a voucher that can be redeemed at Walgreens locations in the United States. CSL Plasma collects plasma solely for the production of medicines needed by people who have primary immunodeficiencies, hemophilia and other conditions.
