Nurses Week 2021 comes as the world’s nurses persist through year two of the COVID-19 pandemic.
CSL Behring’s Elyse Murphy, a registered nurse and Associate Director of the Immunology Field Team, said the way nurses kept going during the global crisis has been inspiring. As the American Nursing Association says: “Nurses are the glue that holds a patient’s health care journey together.”
“It has been an extraordinary year that called upon nurses to step up and provide care in a way never before experienced and they did,” Murphy said.
The enormous challenges of 2020 and 2021 are sure to figure into a new report from the National Academy of Medicine to be released May 11. Learn more about the soon-to-be published study: The Future of Nursing 2020-2030: Charting a Path to Achieve Health Equity.
