Sickle cell disease advocate Kyle Smith is in his 30s now but he vividly remembers what it was like to be a kid burdened by a chronic, painful condition.

Smith, who is co-founder and CEO of the nonprofit Crescent Foundation, recently shared his story with more than 100 CSL Behring scientists in a virtual meeting. Watch the clip above to learn more about sickle cell disease.
