A Big Thank You to Caregivers

Story

Every day in February, we’re sharing content about rare diseases in anticipation of Rare Disease Day on the last day of the month. Learn about caregivers and why they are essential for patients’ health and quality of life.

Caregivers do it all. For young patients, parents manage the appointments, prescriptions and treatments – and through it all aim to give kids both a sense of normalcy and a chance to enjoy the same experiences as everyone else. For older patients, a spouse or life partner – even a child, often provides critical assistance and care in managing rare diseases that are complicated and often unpredictable.
