People living with PI have an improperly functioning immune system that renders the patient unable to fight infections.
The Philadelphia walk is one of more than 15 events held throughout the United States to raise awareness and funding for the primary immunodeficiency community. In fact, since launching in 2013, the series of walks has raised more than $4 million for special programs and research.
