New CSL Behring Office in Japan

Take a video tour of the new workspace that opened in Tokyo.

Story

This month, CSL Behring opened a new office in Japan that aims to spark collaboration among employees.

The office, in a building that received a 2019 Urban Land Institute (ULI) Asia Pacific Award for Excellence, was designed based on two concepts:

“Be Well, Be One:” The space was designed to create an environment where employees can work "well" and vibrantly while promoting cross-functional collaboration to become "one" team.

“Activity-Based Working (ABM):” In an ABM office workspace design, employees can choose their working space each day according to their work. There is no personal desk; the entire office is their work place. ABW enhances rapid information sharing and cross-functional collaboration.

The relocation aims to enhance the way employees work together; inspire new ideas; grow CSL’s presence in Japan; and, most importantly, deliver more innovative therapies to patients that will improve the quality of their lives.

With its natural light and variety of collaborative spaces, the office shares some of the design principles employed at other CSL locations around the world. Get an inside look at a new office location in the United States that has an open floor plan and floor-to-ceiling windows.
