During the delegation's visit, he and other officials pledged their support for the facility's plans to expand to meet the growing demand for lifesaving medicines for people with rare and serious diseases.

For the second time in ten months, the sitting Illinois governor visited CSL Behring’s world-class manufacturing facility in Kankakee.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker, along with a delegation of state officials and other dignitaries, visited the facility to learn about the company’s “amazing growth” there. During the visit, site leaders shared the company’s vision for the development of world-class biotech facilities on the Kankakee facility's campus.

Pritzker said CSL Behring is showing that Illinois can be the place for businesses to expand or to relocate.

“There’s amazing growth here,” he said. “That’s something we want to foster.”

CSL Behring sits on 138 acres at the southwest section of the intersection of Illinois Route 50 and Armour Road.  With a local workforce of more than 1,600, CSL Behring is Kankakee County’s largest manufacturing employer.
