About 180 Alpha-1 patients, caregivers and family members made connections with each other at CSL Behring’s 11th Walk for Breath celebration. The event takes place every year just prior to the Alpha-1 Foundation Annual National Education Conference and gives participants an opportunity to reconnect with one another and meet new friends. As seen above, this year’s walk took attendees on a journey through the life of Walt Disney at the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco. Throughout the museum were stories of Mr. Disney’s perseverance, tenacity and determination; lessons that any rare disease patient can relate to.
