For the first time in its history, the sitting Illinois governor visited CSL Behring’s world-class manufacturing facility in Kankakee.

 

Governor Bruce Rauner, along with a delegation of state officials and other dignitaries, visited the facility to learn about the company’s 1.8 million-square-foot expansion there. During the visit, site leaders shared the company’s vision for the development of world-class biotech facilities on what is known as Kankakee’s CSL South campus.

Rauner said CSL Behring is beginning one of the largest investments in the state and that the delegation wants the location to be a biotech leader. “This industry has unlimited potential, and

CSL Behring will be leading the way,” he said. “We want you guys thriving.”

 

CSL Behring sits on 138 acres in Kankakee and has a local workforce of approximately 1,600 people. The company is the largest manufacturing employer in Kankakee County.
