MLK Day Leads to Month of Giving

Family volunteers in the community to kick-start CSL Behring's month of giving.

Story
Employee Eberhard Fitzner and his daughter volunteering on the MLK Day of Service

Eberhard Fitzner of CSL Behring’s Global Quality Management Systems team and his daughter, Kyra, were among tens of thousands of people who participated in the Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day of Service, heralded as the largest MLK Day event in the United States. Eberhard and Kyra joined CSL Behring employees and other members of the community for a program at St. Thomas of Villanova Parish in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. The volunteers spent the morning making sandwiches for the Patrician Society in Norristown, creating cards for deployed members of the U.S. military and veterans as well as decorating T-shirts for children in Puerto Rico. The company is extending the reach of MLK Day of Service by encouraging employees in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania to participate in a one-day local volunteering activity of their choosing, on company time, between now and February 16, 2018.
