2015 was a record year for giving by the King of Prussia-based biopharmaceutical company, which surpassed its own personal best.
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. — 02 February 2016
CSL Behring’s U.S. locations in King of Prussia and Kankakee, Il., and its subsidiary, CSL Plasma headquartered in Boca Raton, Fla., raised more than $1 million in 2015 for a wide array of charities, setting a new company record.
They included the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey, and the Kankakee and Iroquois County, Ill. chapters of United Way, and a number of other local chapters throughout the U.S. where CSL Plasma centers are located. CSL Behring matches 100 percent of the funds raised by employees for United Way.
In addition to United Way, other non-profit groups that benefitted in 2015 from CSL Behring and CSL Plasma included Children’s Scholarship Fund of Philadelphia, Immune Deficiency Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Employees not only provided financial assistance, they also volunteered their time in the communities by providing and packaging food at area food banks, planting flowers and trees, picking up trash and much more.
“We’re proud of our employees, who continually give back to their communities throughout the year,” said Karen Etchberger, CSL’s Executive Vice President, Quality & Business Services and the Site Head of King of Prussia. “They’re generous with their time and talent as well as with their money, supporting so many different charitable groups. Our employees drive our corporate culture of giving.”
