| Dr. Alan Kinniburgh is Chief
Executive Officer of the National
Hemophilia Foundation. Since
assuming this position in 2005,
he has strengthened the nonprofit
organization in a variety of ways.
One early initiative was establishing
the NHF’s Department of Public Policy.
The department focuses on state and
federal issues that are important to
the bleeding disorders community,
such as lifetime insurance caps and
Medicare co-payments. Prior to
joining NHF, Dr. Kinniburgh was
Senior Vice President of Research at
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Dr. Kinniburgh also worked as a
cancer researcher at Roswell Park
Cancer Institute in Buffalo, N.Y.,
where he founded the Institute's
Laboratory of Molecular Diagnostics |
| Dr. Andra James is a maternal-fetal
medicine specialist and an Assistant
Professor in the Department of
Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Duke
University Medical Center. She is a
Co-Director of Duke’s Comprehensive
Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center and
founder of the Women’s Hemostasis
and Thrombosis Clinic at Duke. Her
practice, research and publications
pertain to reproductive issues among
women with hematologic disorders.
Besides her work at Duke, she is
involved nationally and internationally
in activities to improve maternal and
fetal outcomes of pregnancy in women
with hematologic disorders. She is
a Co-Chair of the Women’s Issues
Scientific Subcommittee of the
International Society on Haemostasis
and Thrombosis, serves on the Medical
and Scientific Advisory Committee of
the National Hemophilia Foundation
(NHF), chairs the Women with Bleeding
Disorders Task Force of the NHF, participates
in the Coalition to Prevent Deep
Vein Thrombosis, serves on the von
Willebrand Disease medical advisory
committee of ZLB Behring, recently
served on the NIH National Heart
Lung and Blood Institute’s Women
with Bleeding Disorders Working
Group and continues to serve on their
von Willebrand Disease Expert Panel. |
| Paul R. Perreault is Executive Vice
President of Worldwide Commercial
Operations at ZLB Behring. With
more than 25 years of healthcare
industry experience, Mr. Perreault is
responsible for all sales, marketing
and commercial development
activities for the company. Prior to
joining ZLB Behring, he was Vice
President and General Manager
of Plasma Operations at Aventis
Bio-Services, where he oversaw all
plasma operations and compliance
initiatives at 79 plasma collection
centers in the United States. He
previously worked for Wyeth-Ayerst
Laboratories for 16 years in various
key positions. |
