As CFO, Karen Neave is responsible for the financial planning and reporting of CSL Behring including establishment and maintenance of fiscal controls, preparation and interpretation of financial reports for all reporting and planning periods, as well as safeguarding company assets. She is responsible for providing financial support, guidance, service and controlling to the CSL Behring group of entities.

Prior to this role, Ms. Neave served as Group Controller, Financial Reporting and Planning for CSL Limited, the parent company of CSL Behring, based in Parkville, Australia. In that position, Ms. Neave was responsible for the full consolidation, analysis and reporting of the CSL global group financial results for all reporting periods including half- and full-year AIFRS statutory accounts and the annual report financials. Key contributions included the successful implementation of the global Hyperion Financial Management system (FinanceOne) used by CSL subsidiaries following the acquisition of Aventis Behring, establishing foreign currency analysis and calculations and identifying the impact of exchange rates on CSL group businesses.

Before her Group Controller position, Ms. Neave was the Financial Controller for CSL Limited in Australia, which included financial planning, reporting and consolidation responsibility for CSL Bioplasma, CSL Biotherapies, Parkville R&D and the Australian corporate functions. Previous to that, Ms. Neave provided financial support to the Pharmaceutical (CSL Biotherapies) and R&D divisions in CSL as Divisional Financial Controller. Before joining CSL in 1997, Ms. Neave was the head of finance for O’Brien Glass, a building glass company, with responsibility for finance across the Australian states of Victoria and Tasmania.

Ms. Neave holds a B.S. in Accounting from Deakin University, Burwood (Melbourne, Australia) and is a Certified Practicing Accountant with the Australian Society of CPAs.
