Senior Vice President, Global Quality
Dr. Black is responsible for ensuring the continuing safety and high quality of our worldwide portfolio of products. Based in Bern, Switzerland, she serves as Head of Global Quality.
With a career in the pharmaceutical industry spanning over 20 years, Dr. Black started as a graduate engineer working in a niche biotechnology design consultancy in the UK. Joining CSL in 1996, she has significant experience across the CSL business, including roles in Supply Chain, Quality, Project Management, Corporate R&D and Commercial Development. Dr. Black has served as Head of Quality at the CSL’s plasma fractionation facility in Broadmeadows, Australia and more recently at CSL Behring's Center of Excellence for Immunoglobulins in Bern, Switzerland.
Dr. Black was born in England and received her Bachelors Degree in Biochemical Engineering from University College London. A long time resident of Australia, she also holds a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Sydney and a Masters Degree in Drug Development from the University of New South Wales.
