Chief Information Officer
As CIO, Mr. Newsom is responsible for directing the information and data integrity of the CSL Group and for all Information Technology functions of the enterprise. This includes all data centers, technical service centers, service desks, communication networks (voice and data), data security, IT regulatory and quality compliance, systems development, and computer operations.
Mr. Newsom has worked in the CSL Behring Kankakee manufacturing facility for more than 26 years. He began his career in 1984 in applications development with Armour Pharmaceutical, a predecessor company. He has held positions of increasing responsibility within IT including Technical Services Engineer, Infrastructure Manager, Applications Manager, Sr. Manager IT, and Director of IT. Mr. Newsom also spent three years as Sr. Manager Desktop Systems for Rhone Poulenc Rorer in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, supporting all corporate and R&D functions. He has successfully built support organization teams, data centers, and enterprise systems with high customer satisfaction ratings.
Mr. Newsom holds an Associate of Science degree in computer science from Parkland College, Urbana, Illinois.
